In the face of unforeseen emergencies, MindGenies posses the right resources and practices for disaster recovery, business continuity and maintaining critical business functions. We have activated a comprehensive Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity (DR&BC) Plan, based on the need to protect professional staff, computing infrastructure and intellectual property.
The DR&BC Plan at MindGenies has been strategically structured and rigorously tested to handle any kind of emergency, including calamities such as earthquakes, floods and unrests or business obstructions like fire and power failures. We regularly update clients, suppliers and stakeholders about our DR&BC Plan and make them aware of the measures taken at MindGenies to avoid emergencies. Alternate Facilities
MindGenies has formed associations with various institutions in the vicinity of our Noida office. In the event of our office being affected by any calamity, we can immediately move people to a safe location and carry on with the clients work without any interruption.
Our promoters are the owners of a very large business group, having offices in all the major cities in India. We have formed agreements with them for sharing their premises and other resources to ensure vital customer services are provided even in the event of a disaster.
MindGenies also provides remote and secure access of essential data, records, projects and additional resources to the staff. This facility enables them to work from their home or any other location.

Disaster Management Officer (DMO)
An emergency may occur despite taking all the important preventive measures for business continuity. In order to handle such unforeseen situations, MindGenies has a special disaster management officer (DMO) who reports directly to our Managing Director. The DMO has the proper authority to co-ordinate events, and take essential security measures and has a number of key responsibilities, including the following:
- Arrange staff training, communication cascades and drills for situations such as earthquake, fire, power-cut or terrorist attack.
- Conduct regular reviews of security measures and procedures.
- Consult with outside experts and people from other organizations that face similar risks in planning for emergencies.
- Ensure the implementation and testing of internal and external security measures.
- Formulate contingency plans dealing with bomb threats, suspect packages and possible evacuation.
- Adequate Data Backup with CD Writer, Zip Drives etc.
- Liaison with the police, other emergency services and local authorities.
- Produce a security plan based on the risk assessment.
- Secure the premises after evacuation and deciding when to re-occupy them.
Financial Stability
MindGenies has robust banking and financial arrangements, such as online banking, credit transfer, mobile phone banking, banking through multiple banks, branches and ATMs and payment gateways, so that we continue to make payments and sustain our business globally. Our promoters are a leading business conglomerate and provide full financial support to the organization. We also have comprehensive insurance coverage on our infrastructure and liabilities.
Fire Safety and Medical Aid
We have elaborate fire safety arrangements including B and C type extinguishers, multiple exits, smoke alarms, and hose pipes within the facility. We have arrangements with the nearby hospitals and private clinics for any kind of medical emergencies. Contact details for nearby fire stations, blood banks, police station, 24-hour pharmacies, etc. are maintained at multiple points in our office.
Power Back-up
Our office has multiple power back-up systems that enable us to run the facility for an uninterrupted period of 2 days. Power from the State grid is used with generator power systems providing back-up. Generator sets are programmed to be pressed into service automatically or semi-automatically whenever there is an interruption or voltage fluctuation in power supplied. We also have a high performance UPS system that is fully redundant with automatic fail over. Proper preventive maintenance schedule ensures that the whole power supply system is in perfect condition on a 24/7 basis.
Security and Data Recovery
A real-time intelligent disaster recovery system is in place for restoring complete server information at short duration. We have remote backup facilities with servers located in Australia, Canada, the U.K. and United States. The backup is restored on an offline Exchange server for high availability.
We also have robust and time-tested systems for ensuring data availability and security, including high speed connections of 512 mbps, firewalls, anti-viruses and stringent data security policies
