1. Fixed Cost Projects: A pure fixed cost offshore project involves instances where the scope is well defined and timelines are aggressive. Project scope and corresponding time/cost are agreed upon both the parties. We provide customers with a project proposal that describes in detail the project scope and schedule. The payment schedule for a Fixed Price/Fixed Date agreement depends on project milestones and duration.

2. Time and Fee: In cases where it is difficult to determine an exact project scope the "Time and Fee" model comes into play. We recommend this model for middle-sized and large projects which are dynamic and have fluidity. Partners engage resources with MindGenies on a man month basis for an agreed cost. This model provides you with the maximum control over deliverables and the team which works on the project. For payment, a "full time equivalent" scheme is applied which means that an hourly rate is charged for each employee dedicated to your project. All invoices for this type of contract are accompanied by transparent project reports and time sheets.

In this type of contract, partners can select resources through a well defined interview process.

MindGenies assigns a project manager who communicates with the clients/partners on a regular basis and takes complete ownership of the task at hand. We call this "managed outsourcing" - a situation where our clients/partners only have a single point of contact (project manager) and the nitty gritty's are managed by the MindGenies team internally. This approach is more effective than a "Body Shopping" approach where partners are required to communicate with individual team resources and micro manage the team.
